Z28th1s launched the *** outta that V6! Nice work Dad. I noticed that one run was 104 and the other two were 106. Any idea on the 2 mph trap variation?

97, your runs gotta be at the top of the list for stock 3.7 ETs I would think. I can't wait to see what you do with that V6 once you get the gears and tune. Makes you wonder what a little nitrous or a few PSI would do. High 11s or low 12s could be had pretty easily imo.

American Muscle has theirs running 11.7s with the Procharger kit. Thats all we have as far as f/i as of now. On another forum theres a cat fabbing up a turbo kit, and another dude is talking about a kit for the juice on his, just a 50-75 shot. I dunno about the juice, but I'm chickensh!t when it comes to that anyways. I'll eventually go with the procharger, one day, unless sts or hellion comes up with something.

But, until then, I cant fkn wait to get these gears and that tune in. I'll have to relearn how to drive the damn thing all over again

Edit for quick pic of the cars

Thanks for the props on the launch!! I don't know why the trap on the 13.03 pass was only 104? The car was quicker on the back half that pass versus the other two when they went from a 82 MPH in the 1/8 to a 106 MPH in the 1/4. Maybe there was a clock error on that pass?

I also think my son's car has to be one of the fastest bone stock 2.73 geared M6 3.7's in the country. He was definitely gettin' it done today!!!

I could watch that V6 do that all day, lol. Sounds pretty sweet too, imo.

I didn't realize he ran an 8.1 in the 1/8th. Look at my 1/8th

About your gears, 97.. after watching your pops run a few times, it looked like it was jumping hard but dropping the nose back down really quick. Makes me think 4.10s would be a much better choice than the 3.73s. You guys have cars that love high revs and a steeper gear would get you where you need to be much quicker and still retain decent MPGs. I know why you're going with 3.73s, just throwing my thoughts out there for conversational purposes

So far the trend has been 3.55s or 3.73s for m6 cars and 4.10s for autos. Not that I'm a trend chaser or anything but it must be like that for a reason haha. I think a main reason 4.10s won't be a great choice for us is our 4.26:1 1st gear ratio.... there would be no 1st gear! Lol....

Wow, that is a steep 1st. 3650s have a 3.38 1st, and I know a 4.10 final makes for an aggressive 1st gear in those transmissions. It would be interesting to drag a 4.10 geared 3.7 with your Dad's mods just to see how much it helps or hurts the run.

Are the manuals typically running quicker ETs than the auto 3.7s? Just wondering about a stalled 4.10 gear auto on a tire and how it would stack up against your Dad's 3.7.

Actually, yes, both the 3-7's and the 5-ohs are showing slightly quicker times with autos. Guess there has to be a first for everything! I haven't seen/heard of anyone running a stalled v6 yet, but its just a matter of time.

I dont care if they're a full second faster, can't replace the fun factor on the street, imo of course.

And as for the steep 1st gear, I may be wrong on the exact number, but its around there. When I drove dads after his gear swap that 1-2 shift came on pretty quick CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw that 8.1 pop up on the board, right before the 1/4 mile ET lit up. 8.3 is still extremely impressive for that car. Sucker has some low end grunt for sure. I bet that car feels great with that 1st ratio and 3.73s around town though.

What kind of time frame are you looking at before you pull the trigger on the new mods?
