Probably one of the best and most gratifing races I have ever had.. I haven't driven the car in about two to three weeks, so I decided to take her for a quick spin. I merge onto the local 4 lane hwy and and as I merge, I see a pontiac on my a**. Truthfully, I thought it was a grand prix (nothing against GP's) so I gave it no mind. All of a sudden he shoots pass me and I see that it is a GTO (dual exhuast) with the 6.0 badges on the rear. I really wasn't looking for a race but this guy actually slowed down so that I could catch him. Once I got beside him, we're both doing about 55 or so. I shift down to 3rd gear and at this point I'm waiting for him to take off and of course he does. I get down on her pretty hard and stops his pull. As she starts to red line I shift into fourth and I get the edge. After we shut down at about a 110 or so, I had a good 2 car lead on him. I say this is one of the most gratifing races that I ever had because I raced a GTO about 2 yrs ago and got my a** handed to me (really left a bad taste in my mouth)... Can't wait to install the LT's. Once those are installed, I should see a bit more on the top end..Those GTO's are some sweet cars tho but this day score 1 for the mustang (2V)!

Thxs bro. As far as I could tell it had some type of exhuast work and it was manual.. It sounded sweet as he** when he down shifted!!

 

Nicely done, Soldier. Those LS2s pull hard up top. Sounds like you burned him pretty good putting 2 cars on him.
