Default New PB

Decided to head out to the track with my buddies from the local forum. Was so tuff because I came so damn close to 10's. Ran 11.04,11.05, and 11.01! Damn!!! lol, I'm sure if I would have pulled my passenger and rear seats I would have been there. My car is pig and probably weighs in near 4000 lbs. I'll get there next time out with some better conditions. It was super windy and there was a nasty cross wind.

Here's my slip:

And here's the video I put together from the day. My buddy ran an 11.8 in his 11 5.0. Only mods are AED tune, CAI, and bias ply et streets. His is the last run on the video.

Watch in 1080!

Damn good runs, 10's would be a hell of an accomplishment. Your car definitely has 10's in it.

I thought I recognized that car. Your car is a beast. I think you powned me a couple of times. I remember running against you once at least.

Thanks, I sure hope so. It was hard to leave without getting one but the track was closing. I forgot to mention my 11.01 was a hot lap. The track was closing in 10 minutes and I had my worst 60' of the day with a 1.67 and ran an 11.1 so I said effe it and lets see what happens. Went right back and ran. And when I say right back I mean right back. There was no one in line.

My clutch was not happy after that.

Thanks. It's funny, sometimes I get bored with my car but every time I go to the track I fall back in love with her. I hadn't been in 3 months and it felt great!!!

Thanks man. Were you out there Saturday or one of the Grudgefests earlier in the year?
Edit: I think I remember your car from Saturday actually. It's black right? Your sig and green print made me think it was green for some reason.

So damn close! Good runs though, your car looks and sounds sick running down the track.

That favoh at the end is impressive for the mods. Kind makes me sad, lol.

Thanks Stone. Makes you sad, it makes me sad. He's within a second of me and i have ungodly amounts of money into my car. There was another 5.0 with a vortech at 8 lbs and ran a 10.9x. Everything else except rear tires was stock.

I need to have the resolve to start lightening up my car. That's what's really holding me back. It's just more fun to spend it on mods that make more power than a light weight k member or new control arms.

Weight is key to going fast, that's for sure. I would never starting ripping into my interior, but K members, control arms, etc, are definitely worth it.
