ya, I missed 2nd one time and ran a 14.6 when I got back in it, I know it would be even worse jumping straight to 4th

I think I either botched 3rd or 4th and it added at least a half second to my time.

As originally asked stock for stock. Since I did in fact beat him without third I must assume something is not stock.

Maybe the other dude let off right after you went into fourth. I doubt your car has anything special done to it but if he got a small lead in first gear, then you cut it and pulled ahead in second gear, then put enough distance to see it in the rear view mirror in fourth gear, there's a chance your buddy lifted off the gas pedal at least a few seconds before you did.

You act like a couple mods is going to make much difference in your 2V. Gears are about the only thing that would make a noticeable difference, and even then there's no way you could skip a gear and still do that to a 14.0-low 14 second car.

Here's what happened. You pulled him in 2nd, your buddy let off, then you skipped 3rd and went to 4th for the win.

I didn't lift till I saw his nose drop. His nose didn't drop til I was already in 4th and pulling. I don't have a 1/4 track within an hours drive but we do have the Friday night drags at AMS on pit road that is 1/8. They don't go e e.t. but they do give trap speed. And it is of an arm drop. Perhaps when they start back ill give it a whirl. Wish I could find a granny before then. Just don't have a few hundred to drop on one yet especially not know whichever mine has the t45 or the tr3650.
