Couple runs today
The Stage 1 Procharger kit that I have doesn't have a very efficient (aka a piece of junk) intercooler. We do think that on the back half of the track that the IAT's are getting high enough that it is pulling 10 degrees of timing which is killing my ET and MPH in the 1/4 mile. My tune only has 17 degrees of timing in it to start with!
We are going to look at the datalogs and try to come up with a solution!
Who has that kind of money? 30K+ to run 11s is fail IMHO.
Not 100% sure here but sounds like rod knock... getting prices for rebuild now... also found a set of 243s for just a few hundred dollars. The problem is a crate LS6 with 100K/3yr warranty is pretty cheap these days and almost hard to resist.

Btw stone/etc. I just ordered my clutch. Should be here this week. I bought it from my tuner. He said with the 4bars/injectors it should be a 103/104mph car. Just relating to the talk of all of us hitting the strip.

Just swap the whole motor, Skater. You got a lot of miles on the old girl.
Z28, I was thinking that might be the issue. Get yourself a decent intercooler and you should be good to go.
PD, let me know man. I'm itching to get back to the track to put some things to rest anyway. Been getting PMs, etc over on the LS1 forum concerning the ETs my car has put up. The -DA is getting all the credit, regardless that it ran 12.5 with just a Lid/tune/catback at 500'. Anyway, I'd love to get out there and run a 12.3 at 1500' just to put it to rest. Thats good to hear about your car. Hopefully the bottom will stay bolted together and inside the block, lol. I promise I will show you my tailights for most of the 1/8th before you rocket past me half track,

Come up to Canada and I will race you in my 08 srt8 jeep......
I can't comment on the new ones, but mine pulls hard off the line but dies off quick once you get to the top end. Nothing a cai/catch can/tune won't solve though

A couple of them are PMing me about it. One politely suggested I put the DA in my sig
DA was -526 on my 12.2 114 passes. She still ran a 12.5 at 500' above with a lid/tune/cat-back, so imo it ought to still run 12.3-12.4 at 0-1000' DA.
I think some just get frustrated when they spend a bunch of money on bolt-ons, stall, tires, etc...then run a high 12. Half of those guys are running all those mods untuned and have little to zero track experience. A C5 just posted his ET up last night, his mods are stall, MT ET Streets (had to ask him if he had tires of course), full exhaust, and a fukn superchips tune, lol. On a 1.65 60' he ran a 12.3 at 115. The reason he's not well into the 11s is def in his tune, imho.
I wish you weren't a 4 day drive away or I would! The Jeeps are definitely deadly up to 80 or so, but the top end isn't there like the LS1's. Are they picking up much trap with a cai/tune?
