So I went to the track the other day. I was excited I was running slicks and it was the first time with my 4.10's. I pulled up to the line, mind you this is the first time I've ever used slicks, and ran a 14.2 @ 96 MPH. I had a 2.0 60'. Now as far as the 60' goes thats my driving error. But my trap speeds are 5 MPH lower than what they used to be when I had the stock gears. I don't understand why I'm running so slow. I'm wondering if maybe I'm running to rich cause my car backfires alot when I rev the engine. This was very discouraging. What times should I be running on slicks, 4.10's, 100 shot of Nitrous, catback 2 1/2" exhaust, CAI, and a stage 2 clutch. Remember I'm in Utah so you can pretty much add a second to what ever I'd run in Cali.

 

Did you run a 14.2 with a 100 shot ? ....cause if you did somethin is wrong. If not when you use the 100 shot and hook up well you should be pretty deep with that set up

 

yeah thats with the 100 shot. My friend thinks I should go on a dyno and figure out my A/f ratio. I hope its like 9 or something so that way I know I didn't waste my money on the stuff I've done.

 

Dang then somethin is def wrong cause stock you should be runnin that. You need to get that thing to a dyno and def see whats up

 

If your a/f is 9, then you would be walking to the track next time not driving. 9 is dangerously dangerously lean

 

14's with nitrous?...damn I see 12.90 with a 100 shot using a nx adjustable kit.....you have some real issues..what size tire and with 4.10's you could see less mph in the traps

No, read his sig. Its an SN-95 body, aka the slowest of the slowest stang GT's. To be honest with you, without sticky tires thats about all he should hope for. He prolly puts like 190hp the the wheels stock, add a few mods and a 100 shot and hes right at 300 per say. It should be good for at least a 13 second pass though.....
