Yeah, 3280 without the driver, and if he was on stock tune he is not making full boost until 3rd gear.

13.1@116mph, ZERO track prep.. run what you brung type of event.

I ran a 2011 MS3 the week prior. I put about two cars in front of him off the line the entire time and he would pull on me up top at around 100mph and pass me.. then I'll begin to reel him in pass at around 110 or so (we kept at it until forced to brake). On a clean run, I put about 2 1/2 cars on him and keep it there the entire time. Not sure of his mods. 13.5/13.7 all day long, trapping 103mph. Drag radials but sorry 2.3 60 fts.!!!

Very quick little car he had!

my 4500lbs. vs his 2800 or so rofl
Sounds like he just rode 4th gear through the traps, that would explain him coming around you but falling back after 100mph.

The problem with Speed3's is boost falls off HARD around 5800rpm, which comes in 4th gear close to the end of the 1/4. But, upshifting will only improve trap mph, and will lower e.t.

That being said, your car runs good, and AWD in a V8 must be a joy to launch!! I hope to get to a track soon, but we have had rain almost every day for the past week.

Bluffton, it's only 30 min's north of Savannah, Ga.

What were your thoughts on the Speed that you had? I know you did not have it for long, just the rest of the cars you have owned lol.

I don't think he was stock, he kept going back and it looked like he was messing with some sort of tuner, not sure what it might have been. It was quick but he just couldn't get it to hook with those drag radials. He was the quickest fwd car there that day I believe.

There might have been a Honda running 11.7 but I am not sure if it was him or a truck in front of him

Thanks for the props! The only problem with my old 2012 RT AWD was that there are no tuners out (= no mods!) and I was pretty much at the mercy of the torque converter and launch because after 60 or so, it felt like I was just speeding (lazy, slow, comfortable shifts) rofl

I like my new 09 a lot more, though it often feels like I stepped back in time with it's funky interior

That's my buddy Daniel. The skyblue Speed 3 with the plasti dipped black rear bumper? Yea he's not too happy about his tune at all. He should be putting down about 350 hp with all of his mods. He was hoping for 12's if not 11's with good driving and good track prep along with a functional tune. But he needs race gas to probably come close to touch 11's. It is a stout car though, I raced him back when my car was quicker than what it is now for some reason, and I beat him. It was a highway roll 50-100ish. But ever since I got this DSP tuner, my car is not as quick as it was before. But I'll get it straightened out with some race gas or meth.

I figured his car wasn't running right because of his inconsistent times. I seen him run 13.5 followed by a 13.8, pretty sure it was tune/traction related. I used to run boosted cars as well, and it can be frustrating trying to pin down the problem..

I had a stage 2 SRT-4 before my supercharged 08 Mustang, and it was plenty quick on the highway, though I never hit anything lower than 13.8@105mph (2.4 60 fts.!) . I am sure that would beat the 2012 RT AWD I had, especially from a roll

Gotcha, I have family closer to S.O.B near Lake View, SC.

I liked the MS3 a lot. It was an 08. I would love to have another to DD, mod a little, etc...but for drag racing I wasn't a fan of it. The gearing was way too short, too much torque steer, and terrible wheel hop. The turbo dropping off at 5500 was an awful combo with that short gearing. Too much like the Peterbuilt I drive, lots of torque but no legs, lol.

From a 3rd gear roll it moved out though. So yea, loved the car, just not a good choice for the 1/4 imho.
