Odd result indeed........bad gas perhaps, or passengers? Drivers mod shouldn't enter into it on a 60 roll unless he missed a gear every run.

 

You talkin manuals or autos....or what and what....? A lot of people own fast cars that can't shift to save their own life.

 

Do you know the guy? If so, find out some details on how he drives the car, like shift points, ect.

I ran a guy with a '07 Speed3 with an intake just to see how much faster the 1st gen's are than mine, as the 07 model has turned in the quickest 0-60 times. 1st gen Speeds are also around 200 pounds lighter, we did 2 2nd gear pulls with me putting 3-4 cars on him by 110mph. Come to find out he was shifting WAY to early, 5000rpm's, but i would have never known if we were not friends.

Just trying to give an example of what could have happened in your situation.

 

1 person in each car, both manuals, ill ask him when he shifts next time i talk to him.

 

He must have either short shifted, started in the wrong gear, or missed gears......it's hard to screw up a roll race, but I guess he must need the driver mod in a big way.

 

That is not an excuse for a "roll" race...

Roll Race: Put in gear....go WOT...shift...WOT....shift.....WOT.....

 

Maybe his car is just slow...
