ya a manual v6 is WELL capable of hitting the mid 15's...it is extremly possible for a 99-04 v6 to beat a eclipse, esp the 2000-2004 body style
2002 Eclipse GT:Curb Weight 3053 lbs
2000 Mustang:Curb Weight 3069 lbs
so yeah they weight pretty much the same, so it is possible for them to be neck and neck wit eachother....

Actually the 03 GT ecplise weighs 3142 which is more than my car

so the slight gain in weight is more than made up for by the gain in HP...like i said...i dont see alot of v6ers running in the 15s here...aside from the guys who are heavily built...

all I know is that I won like I have said O SO MANY TIMES and my car does weigh less... so believe what you want and I will stick to the facts I just wish I was in detroit to prove you wrong to your face when I beat you in a race. I am sorry you said you have a r/t stratus right?

i dont want to say, by any means, that it is impossible that a V6er could beat me, but you guys are talking trash like you have 12 second stock cars...my car ran 16.11 with two broken motor mounts...and its a bit more stout now...i still wouldnt call it "fast", but its a bit less slow...lol

Were, well Im definately not talking trash against eclipse owners, and I know im by no means fast. I know i drive a v6 mustang, and im proud of it, but I know where I stand. But I think were just saying that our v6's can put a hurting on those lil eclipses out there, cuz like i said before, theyre neck-to-neck with our cars. and i think its cool that were seeing more v6 wins. in a world full of v8's such as gt's, mach 1's, cobras, trans ams, z28s, gtos, etc, and turboed cars like the evo and sti...its good to see our 6's can beat some of the cars out there, such as eclipses, civics, integras' etc. it gives us, more pride driving a v6, so to speak...knowing were competition for at least SOMETHING out there. Just that fact right there makes me a bit more happier with my mustang...it may not be a v8, but it can still whup sum ***. and to me, thats all that matters

i really wish that someone of you lived near me..lol...unless you guys have an aftermarket computer, you **** out at 112 mph, where as at 112, im still a good 30mph away from running out of power...

Not that the 6 miles an hour matters much but I govern at 118. Also I agree with Tight We are not saying we are fast but we are quick for what we are and we are proud to keep the mustang winnigs alive... Even if it is with a 6. Either way I am proud of my car.
