Shot for 11's and I did it!
And by that, of course I mean I finally broke my stock 8.8
Didn't get to see 11's yet again.
But the tires finally seemd as if they were starting to hook up, with the first run of the night being a 1.96 then a 1.91 then a 1.87
Slowly creeping down there but creeping nevertheless.
MPH was a bit very low tonight too, don't know why exactly but it was.

And now I'll talk about the good axle breaking run.
Went and did my burnout as usual, Casper98GT had said later on that only the driver side tire was spinning.
Couldnt really tell from my point of view, just had to smoke these tires for results.
So I did.
Pulled almost to stage purged and crept up.
Revved to about 4000-4500ish cant remember exactly what.
Dumped the clutch and *BANG*
Let off completely.
Ok, what could that have been?
Engine catches up to itself and I give it a rev in gear to see if I can move the car a little.
Nothing.
Shut it down and we pushed it back and out of the way.
Thought it was the driveshaft at first.
When backing it up heard some clunking, but then Casper and Co. pointed out that the driver side rear tire was comming out of the wheelwell a bit
Broke my DS Axle.
the tube looks fine as of now, didnt really have a good enough light and couldnt really crawl under there and look at it.
But it appears as if it's just the axle.
Very good thing it didnt happen going down the track.
But I knew this was going to happen eventually.
421ft/lbs of torque at the wheels and sticky tires will eventually wear down that poor stock 8.8
Now i just need money and I can go and build a bulletproof rear to go with the rest of my car.
Then I just need boost and suspension crap[&:]

As for what carrier and spline axles.
Not a clue as of now, possibly whatever's used, complete, cheapest.
Sounds about the best idea at the moment.
More than likely a 31 or 33 spline ford t-lok with axles, and i'd like to back off the gearing a little too.
Possibly go with a 3.55 or the like.
