I am Building a 331 stroker, comp cams roller cam 286 dur. 596 lift,11.0:1 comp. Vic. Jr. Heads and intake. I am hopeing for over 400 hp. I have a 5spd. the Car with me in it and 1/4tank of gas is 3100 lbs. i have steeda adjustable control arms i am putting in a 8 point roll cage and i am putting in a traction bar on the rearend. I should be able to get some sick traction.

-will i be able to pull the wheels? i just have to launch at my max torque right?

maybe...its hard to say..it really depends on the traction...are you going to run slicks? every once in a while ill get the LF up a little...but its no more than a hop...however my car weighs over 3700lbs

honestly......unless you have a FULL suspension, i dont see the front wheels coming OFF the ground............good weight transfer, sure, or just spin the tires unless youre gonna be running full slicks. who knows. try it out and let us know. either way, youre still gonna have a fast car(at least it seems that way)

I wasn't on the outside of the car so I can't gaurantee this but... One of my parents friends had an 84 with a 351W and wide *** street tires, Griffin radiator, gutted interior, short throw (I think batt relocation too)and other basic engine mods. We estimated he would have run about a solid 12 and one time we took off good on a road, that always had races going on so it had a decent amount of rubber on it already for about 60 ft., and I know we at least got 1 wheel off the ground maybe both all I know is all I seen was mostly sky. Like I said I obviously wasn't outside the car so no one could see if we got both off the ground or not.

There is no way that you got a wheel up on the street with a wide street tire. Most likley the front sway bar was off the car and it got a lot of weight off the front but there is no way a 12 second car will get the wheels up an the street with a regular street tire.

I wasn't driving, and like I said I don't know if we did or not, I was in the car, can't really see if the or either of the tires came off the ground.
