Not in my neck of the woods in general. Also its the F150 diesels with little or no muffler who think they have a race car, and before anybody says anything I got waxed on a track by a diesel pickup in my 06 gt

yeah tons of them around here too buster... there was one guy here locally that was too slow 'mentally' to comprehend his high 11 second diesel trapping 106mph probably shouldn't mess with 'faster' cars away from the track. From a dig he would have destroyed me...but instead he chose to 'smoke me' from a high roll... his face was priceless as I was going around him. haha

Wifes cousin recently got a '13 335i with X-Drive (I dont know if they are all AWD or not) and while its not anything ridiculous, it launched pretty hard and pulled strong enough to surprise me in the backseat with 3 people in the car. I could see it being a solid 13 flat car, maybe quicker in good air.a

The 335/135 models are quick from a stop. The turbo is setup so the engine hits peak torque at around 1,200rpm and holds it flat all the way out. Very similar power curves to an electric motor. As a result their engines perform similar to engines with more horsepower.
I think the engines are largely the same as when they were first introduced. They're extremely efficient over a very wide rpm range.
