ok... theres this douche bag at my school that thinks hes the shiznit. says hes cranking 430rwhp with a blower and sometimes says hes got twin turbo. i keep asking him to pop the hood but he says he doesnt need to. he doesnt know what hes got... hes reved up and bounced of the rev limiter infront of me before and i didnt hear anything, no whines or anything like a blower... just sounds like a n/a motor with the normal flowmasters that i think come factory on mustangs around here. he says he will own me in a race.. well today the douche monkey pissed me off... he tried to show off next to me in the bus lane and i was sittin there in my truck and my friend was next to my truck and he nailed it in the rain and didnt know how to control the rear kicking out and he came a foot from hitting my friend. but pretty much my question is... will i be able to run better than a 96 cobra 5-spd with flowmasters and maybe other minor things and me with the mods in my sig. this guy also sucks as a driver. im decent but i cant get traction. this will be after i throw my new clutch in and get it broken in...
edit: also forgot to mention his cobra is a convertible....

 

Unless he can out drive/launch you, assuming he is very close to stock, i think you will take him.

he might be have like a 125 shot of nitrous, but he's calling it a blower or turbo so he doesn't sound like he took the cheap & easy way for forced induction. there's no shame in nitrous though.

 

Well... when my GT was a full bolt on, I raced a '98 Cobra from a roll and a dig and the only thing the guy had to ask was if I was still running the stock motor. I walked him like Busa racing an 18 wheeler. Looking at your mods list, you should run pretty close to what he is... unless he has some sort of power adder.

 

yea, the only type of power adder i can think of the guy having is a electric supercharger like the ones off ebay. i looked inside his car for switches and gauges and hes got nothing i can see. i also checked for an intercooler in the grille for a turbo setup or a procharger setup and nothing from that either.

 

what an ******* i hate people that lie like that. youve got him in torque stock. So that means you are definately gonna have him in that.Ive always wanted to know how i would so against a 96-98 cobra. Stomp his *** and that would answer my question. Good luck

 

dont know if i wil stomp his *** anymore..... i found out hes got a kb.... has a big pulley on it a friend said... the guy doesnt even know what hes got... i have yet to see if this is true or not... if so, hes not no gauges what so ever in the interior.

maybe he saw a video with a "KB Cobra" and just wants to tell you that he's got a KB cobra now. you should be able to tell if he's got a KB when he drives the car.
