On the way home from work today I turned right on green and caught a glance of a 2nd gen eclipse with a big front mount and GSX spoiler. He flossed through traffic and caught up to me at the next light. He kept revving the car just to keep it running. It actually died at the light too. Lots of black on the back bumper by his coffee can. The passenger said "Hey, we need gas money. Wanna race?" I shrugged and said I'd lose but whatever.

The light turns green and I pull off a drama free launch. Redline first and chirp shifting into second. I redline second at 60ish and let off since that's quite a bit above the speed limit and there's a curve ahead. When I let off I'm probably 4 cars ahead of him. He does a ricer flyby past me and I can hear a loud turbo. He takes the curve absurdly fast, spins out and ends up facing traffic. He took off the other direction once I passed him.

I'm attributing the win to a combination of the worst driver ever and the worst set up DSM ever.
