<FONT size=2>so my roomate and i are hangin out, first we eat at hooters and then go to starbucks. leaving hooters, we see a minivan with a white carbon fiber like hood with hood pins. then, ata red light across from chick filet, this red eclipse pulls up next to me. looks like a stock rs. i go, he goes, and winds up a bit in first and off goes the blowoff valve. hmm, he must have a turbo, or a simulator. so i decide to follow him and find out. we turn left, i pull up next to him in 3rd at about 40-45 or so. we both hit it, i leave it in 3rd. i pull a carlength on him instantly, and as i wind up 3rd i pull a bit harder, and hitting 4th i left him by a few carlengths and he appeared to back off. my roomate said the kids jaw dropped when i hit 4th and left him. he caught up a few lights later gave me a thumbs up and we went our seperate ways. i was suprised i thought a stock turbo eclipse would be a much closer race,because i do have a fairly weak 3rd gear.</FONT> <edited><editID>BCisme</editID><editDate>37976.4099074074</editDate></edited>

 

yea they are pretty quick i know someone who has a 98 gst that can spank a zo6 if it hooks its brutal but good job

I only thought the GSX, or w/e it is, was the only eclipse with a turbo? Was this an eclipse with the new body style? If you're stock you shouldn't have beat a turbo one by a whole lot.

 

the GS-T is a turbo, the GS-X is an AWD version. same hp ratings. it was a 95-99 style. they've yet to make turbo 2000+ eclipse. and i'm not stock. if i had dropped it to 2nd, i would have pulled away quicker.

 

Thats why I asked about the body style, cause their big dawg now is a 3.0 v6 with like 210hp or so. They're slow <img src=uploads/95LT1/BA818_gr_barf.gif border="0">
