Default C5 RICER FLYBYE.....

DENIED...

Not much of a story.... cruising to the Sunday morning spot and I cruise past 7-8 mostly late model Vettes (4 C6 GS I think and one C7). Mostly 50+ yr old men driving by their looks. I'm doing 5-7 mph more then they are so I go past them all with out any drama.

Get out ahead by a few hundred feet and I see a C5 peels off from the line, starts coming hard in the next lane over, I think oh this guy want to do a fly bye......

I don't think so.... drop the girl to 4th as the Vette pulls up to my rear bumper and hammer the go pedal.... The Whipple screams to life an pushes 20# of fresh cool air into the 5.4L power plant and the Vette is immediately kept at the rear quarter panel. As 32 valves shriek the Mistress shows the bow tie her tail lights....

Didn't see those Vettes again until they pulled into the parking lot.

Not a great race, but the first one I've had in a while....

It's hard to bait them into playing. I don't know what it is. Fear? Maturity? don't care? Who knows...Sometimes people try and bait me but I am pretty particular about the time and place for safety reasons.

Nothing gives me more pleasure than to surprise the owner of a top end car with a loss. The last time I had a really good race was against a Viper. Beat him fairly easy. He asked what gears I have in the car...4.10s..."Yeah, that must be it." He says.

Yea it's always fun when they don't see it coming. I got a z06 corvette at Atco back when I had my neon. Also got an R8 out on the highway. That guy really took it badly. He asked me what I haddoneand told him it was stock. He said he was taking the car back to the dealer. It was broke.

Jeez that's funny. Could you picture the look on the salesman's face when the guy said he got beat by a neon?
