ok with the mods in my sig would i be able to beat a stock 5th gen camaro z28 i think its auto... im not setting it up is a girl from school's bf but i do know it is bone stock except kandn filter... thanx in advance

judging from his modifications, i'd say he's going to have trouble if a 5th generation camaro is anything frrom 1993+

if its a 98+ then youre gonna be close, as in you may have a slight chance to still read his liscense plate

Yeah, if its a 98+ LS1, then you are toast. That engine is superior to almost every 4.6. You are fighting a losing battle my friend. We all are. All the mods in my sig doesnt put me anywhere close to the power of the almighty LS1. And i have 50+hp over you. The specs are 305hp 335tq. Those are roughly 90hp/tq from where you were stock. Race him for S@#$s and giggles, but dont talk trash or put any $ on it.

 

FWIW there are on 4 generations of Camaros. 1st gen 67-69, 2nd gen 70-82, 3rd gen 83-92, 4th gen 93-02.

 

yeah i was gonna say i never heard of a 5th gen Camaro lol. I know they have a new one in the works but theres only 4 as of know.

 

With the 4th gen Camaros, the 93-97 models had the LT1 (275-285 hp) and ran about 13.9-14.4, depending on whether it was a stick or auto, comparable to a 99-04 Mustang GT. 98-02 models like mine got the LS1, rated at either 305 hp (98-00) or 310 hp (01-02). They will usually run 13.0-13.6, depending on the tranny, comparable to a Mach 1 or a N/A Cobra. With your mods, I don't think you can take an LT1. An LS1 would be downright humiliating.

 

Even if it was an lt1 id think youd lose, an ls1 is gonna leave you BADDDD.

 

yea its just gonna be for fun... and i found out its a manual... but then again dudes had the car for a week and learned how to drive standard on this car so his driving ability is not the greatest.... i dont know we'll see... this will just gimme something to strive for....
