You should see the 10 sec Bug Jessie James and Monster Garage built! SICK! And he got a ticket for driving it on the street! LOL
that episode was awesome, especially when he said "this is the first ticket ive gotten today"

Hey, I browse these forums quite often. I own a 74 VW Bug that has beaten several GTs...rice is nothing. My best friend has a 2000 z28 LS1, and we raced on the highway. I was pulling on him in 3rd, then once i shifted into 4th, he pulled ahead a bit. That was only with 8PSI. My engine is still a old school VW engine, bored from a 1.6 to a 1.8,(69x90.5) engle TCS10 cam, ported and polished heads, 8:1 compression ratio, all forged internals, etc, etc. It is turbocharged with a garrett T3 turbo. On the street I run 8PSI. At 15PSI I'd probably be somewhere into the 12s. A few months ago I ran it at the strip with 10PSI and I ran a 13.9. My engine is pushing 225Hp at 15 PSI.

Oh, here is a video I have of a N/A bug beating a mustang:

Now, I'm not bashing on mustangs or anything...but I'm just proving my point. Not many know what a VW is capable of.

That looked like a v6 stang. Still a mid 14 is pretty good.

Those bugs are too light. 225 hp and running 12's. the sn95 stangs with the same power are so heavy they are the slowest of all modern GT's[:@]
