Default 1st time in the strip with 2015 GT

Hey Guys,

I took my 2015 for the first time to the strip, the entire evening (like 8 passes) I ran 13.4XX with 60 2.1-2.2. I'd say that overall is good considering I am driving Stick, 20" TSW Wheels wrapped in NT555s. Here is the ticket of my best run of the evening:

Best time slip

Car is a 2015 5.0 with the 3.73s

It was kind of annoying that I needed to shift to 5th gear or let it run on 4th for the last few feet hitting the rev limiter.

I did not use the Launch Control because I could not figure out how to make it work until I got back at home and watched a youtube video.

I will try to get a set of DRs and smaller wheels in the next few weeks and maybe summer will last long enough to go to the track a few more times before the rain of seattle gets back

I did not take any pictures or video because I was carrying my gopro with me with a Suction Cup but in Pacific Raceways they told me I could not use the GoPro with a Suction Cup, not even inside the car

You must be racing in some bad DA judging by your MPH. The rest of the slip doesn't look real bad.

+1 ^^^

Room for improvement for sure, but being the first time, we'll let it go lol.

Great that you took her out there though, practice makes perfect.

Look up the DA for your track that day, let us know what it was.

Not sure if this is really accurate, I got the data from this website:

http://www.dragtimes.com/da-density-...time=4:53%20PM

Density Altitude: 1944 feet

Wow. 13.4

Just think, that was the stock time for the 2003 Mach 1 and it had 320HP. The elevation tho is a consideration. and so is temp.

My 1/8th mile time in the 97GT was 9.6 at sea level in cool air and 9.8 at 1500ft in summer heat.

03-04 Mach 1 was a DOHC 4 valve engine.

Lol... I deserve that slap.

However I dont think my time is that bad, I mean a 12 Coyote was running 12.8 with a tune and smaller tires and a Challenger SRT8 was running low 14s

That srt should be given to someone else. the 99-04 GT under absolute perfect conditions can run a 13.9
