Fastest N/A 4.6?
ORIGINAL: Sidewayz6.0
No, I get it. But $11,000 for a 4.6 to go mid 12's is sad. Even with a nitrous tune. Someone needs to make aftermarket heads for that thing. Then it wouldn't be so bad. But I'm sure those will be OMG expensive. Ever look at the design of a 2V head? It's like an 8 year old built them.

But what you dont understand is that engine he had built and installed is ready for a 300 shot and will hold it easily. So all in all, he has a 10 second or better car on his hands with the proper traction.
It does take money to go fast... besides, when was the last time you saw a NA GT go 12.6?
Thats Vette eating terroritory. [8D]

Isn't that a shame. Those 2V motors are junk. He's got a TON of money in that thing. And the best it could muster was a 12.64?
I guess all the NMRA guys were right. In order to win, you have to run a 5.0 or a 4V.
EDIT: I really need to keep reading before I post. Code3 posted in the next post where I stopped reading.

I agree to some extent, but the motor wasnt really meant to be raced without nitrous. Thats where its going to show how impressive the motor is and how the $11,000 was spent wisely. The whole reason behind the OHV engine is to reduce all the rotating mass that comes with push rod motor which allows it to rev faster and more efficient. The 4.6 does need to breath better out of the factory no doubt, but for what it is... its not a bad car for the price at all. Look at the three valves. Tires, gears, hand held tuner, and adjustable shocks got it into the mid to low 12's.
Pretty impressive in my eyes.
Get the mach it is the fastest NA stock Mustang. One guy I know ran 12.8 bone stock with one. It only happened once though. He normally ran low 13s with it. The reason the Mach is quicker than the NA Cobra is because of the solid axle and they dyno a little bit more power. I don't know why but they do.

I not arguing, but what makes a mach 1 faster than an 01 cobra?
ORIGINAL: Mach1
The fastest non supercharged mustang is the mach1. Suspension mods alone will yield VERY fast 1/4 mile times. Of course the cobra is faster but you cant find them as cheap.
