I was sitting at a red light yesterday in my '02 GT when a small white car pulls up beside me with an older gentleman driving. As the light turns red we take off and he guns it. So I lay it down and start to pull away but he begins to pull on me really hard but every time I changed gears, I pulled on him. But not hard. As I hit third and into fourth, I was really pulling away. As I came to the next intersection, he pulled into the turning lane ahead of me and I glanced over to see what kind of car it was. I didn't get to look very long because the light turned green but I did see that it said SUBARU and below that it said AWD. I couldn't tell if it said WRX or IMPREZA or anything but the hood had a HUGE hood scoop that's kinda similar to the GT hood scoop only a bit bigger....AND...it was a hatchback. So.....what was it that almost smoked my GT? Whatever it was, IT WAS FAST!!!!!!!!!

 

well... Im guessing it was a WRX.... The fat hoodscoop gives it AWAY.. and yes they are quick.... 2.0 liter turbo.... has a lot of top end.... THe other thing it could have been was an STi... which i doubt becuase he would have demolished you.

 

regular wrx looks goofy, but not ridiculous. sti looks goofy and ridiculous.

 

yeah, especially from the drivers seat of many mustangs, that blue or white body with gold blur is goofy looking, at least until it is far enough ahead to realize what it is.

i agree with redass. sti's and wrx's just look.... funny.... HUGE wing, HUGE scoop.... sorry, that's just a total turn off for me. i don't care how fast they are, they're ugly as sin. unless you're asian, they're hawt!

 

the look of the sti's are like the look of the firdbirds. they are both so gaudy and unique that you either love it or hate it.

After the launch WRX's shouldn't be too much trounble, 227HP.

 

Especially through AWD, quite a large loss of power.

 

If it was a wagon and had a scoop then it was definitely a WRX, the STI wagon hasn't come out yet. Nice kill though dude =D

The Impreza body styling (especially the new 06 bodystyling which I REALLY think is unbelievably ugly) is definitely a love / hate thing. You can tell which side of the fence I'm on for the 04-05 body style though ^_^
