Traffic sucked on the way home today... one chick nearly sideswipes me and someone else then tries to cut me off when the lanes were merging. I was already in a grumpy mood by the time I get close to home.

There was an 04/05 Maxima riding my **** down the main street when there's traffic in front of me. Some middle aged dude and his wife or someone. So I make my left onto the side street by my house it's not residential and it's wide open. THe punk tries to make a sharp left on my inside (single left hand turn lane to single lane on the street) Screw that. I redline it 1st then 2nd and by third he was way behind me.

What's really funny/sad is that when we got the the turn off (it dead ends beyond that point) he's a dip**** and cuts through a different side-street and still hauls *** in a residential area (doing at least 50-60) I NEVER do over 35 in our area I have kids and hate it when people speed in the neighborhood...anyways, as the two streets intersect on the other side of the neighborhood I see him pulling into his house....

I have a good mind to go over there with a baseball bat and beat the **** out of him for one driving like an **** and two hauling *** through the neighborhood (not the side street since there is no foot traffic there or blind driveways).

And before someone calls BS on me leaving him in the dust, my Father in law owns the same year. I've beaten him before too and I know what that car sounds like at WOT, that dude was trying his hardest.

what do you have done? I would suspect that both stock, a v6er wouldn't stand a chance in hell.

Zippo... Except for a new clutch that got me a good solid chirp when I dropped second and a solid grab into third. Sorry to say but my experience with the new generation maxima has not been that impressive to me. You're right it should beat me according to all the specs I've seen. I'm thinkin like most of the middle aged fuggers that try to race them, they dont know about the manual shift option on those... I hope they keep it that way. In straight auto mode it is slower. Oh..and BFG KDW... 235/45 R17" not really a mod but helps for traction and cornering.

I was under the impression they were somewhat quick, although they are a large sedan.
wonder when the stangs are gonna come out with the manual/auto shifters trannies.

off the line they will come out ahead, but around 60 and up they dog out...

Hmmmm I always figured they would own a v6...weird. Im gonna say a bad driver, because isnt there someone on here with one and stock 1/4 he ran 14's?

Sigh..I thought about it and looked at my Father in laws Maxima..I think it may have been an 04/05 Altima. [:@]It had a solid center grill unlike the Maxima which has the split in the middle... [:@] I have beat his Maxima ..but he doesn't know how to drive it.

Okay so the title should be Silly 04/05 Altima vs 00 V6...Never saw if it was 4 or V6 though since he didn't get his front bumper past my door. I always get those dang things confuzed....

The new maximas are no joke. 260 horses from that sweet *** 3.5 VQ. an 00 V6 is on par in performance with me, and I'd get tanked by a new maxima.

my mom has 05 maxima. 260hp. i raced it once with my dad driving it. he used the bang shifter so he was in controle. i beat him but i was surprised at how he stayed with me for a lil while.
