Wheel Stand!
Nothing broke from the wheelstand, I got back on it enough to soften the landing. We made 2 more passes that night. The next trip out I broke the tranny, all forward clutches gone.

Not completely sure, we tuned it on the dyno but the tranny was slipping on the top end. I will get some dyno numbers with the new tranny.

I know that sounds bad, but the car was much faster than I had expected. I was hoping for 10.5. In the 10.1 run, the tranny was slipping and I was having to let off to stay under the rev limiter. 125 is close to what I expected for top end, the goal is 130. If all goes well, I hope to see a 9.8 this spring.

Id love it if I could "limp to a 10.1"

Well new tranny is in. Went to the Dyno today. Now I guess I know why it will stand up, on the dyno it made 584 RWHP running lean (only 42# injectors). I guess if you assume an 18 to 20% loss for an automatic car that means I am making ~720HP at the crank. I didn't really expect that much, I guess that is a little much for a stock block.
I guess I should have updated this thread. The "new" Tranny broke on the first hard run. Pulled it back down and found the splines stripped out of the forward drum. New TCI hardened drum in and car back together.
On trying to keep the HP down on the stock block, I decided to shift at 5000 RPM and just run the 1/8th.
First trip to the track (with the 4th tranny) yielded 6.60 @ 102 mph (when I shifted at 6000 it was 6.30 @ 110). The shifting at 5000 may not work out for the current torque converter because it never seemed to totally hook up and I stayed on the shift light just about the whole track.
Maybe a few more adjustments and go again.

Angcobra, that is a beautiful 4-Eye you have there. Looks, sounds and runs great. I salute you for making so much power on the stock block. Makes me want to turn the boost up on mine.
