Don't feel bad. Your car has a 4.6 and is rated at 260 hp, while the much more expensive LS2 GTO has a 6.0 rated at 400 hp. The Goat should easily hit 12.9 stock with a good driver.
As far as a Trans Am vs a WS6 Trans Am, there is no straight line performance difference. The WS6 has I believe a slightly upgraded suspension and a "ram air" hood. Ram air doesn't really do crap, it lets GM lie about hp ratings and charge more money, kinda like a Camaro Z28 and a Super Sport.

Also, your car is an '04 and that GTO is an '05, and as we all know it's only fair to compare cars of like model years (right, Cobra guys?
). A 2005 Mustang GT vs a 2005 GTO or a 2004 Mustang vs a 2004 GTO would be more fair, even though the price comparison would still not be fair.

I didn't think 05 GTO's were anymore than $31,000-$32,000 which is about the same as a loaded 05 GT and a loaded 99/04 Convertible GT?
