1968 corvette L88
I was on my home from my buddies house the other day when I pull up at a light next to a 1968 corvette L88. I know these cars have 560 hp but this car didnt look like it had been maintained too well(fading paint, missing hood). so were checkin out eachothers cars and then he starts reving and smoke is coming out of his carbeurator. I figure it was worth a shot so when the light changed, both our tires chirped a bit but we both hooked real quick, we both shifted to second about the same time and our tired both chirped quite abit. Right before third I had a hood length on him and when I shifted, I started to pull -thats when he let off. I won my first race against a corvette
It's very likey you came across a beat up old '68 Corvette. It was one of the least desirable Corvettes ever made. (Next to the '84) But the chances of it actually being an L88 car are extremely thin. A.) An L88 would have left you standing there wondering what happened. B.) There were 80 of them made. C.) I'm sure the ones that are left are in the hands of collectors and not some hillbilly out beating the hell out of it.
But nice kill...

Let the mustang driver have his glory. It's the only corvette that he could have beaten...as far as the L88 part...he most likely did a search on ebay to find the fastest and most expensive 60's vette he could to say that was the one he beat. Rofl.
why do people waiste their time on internet forums making fun of people?
wait, i just did it....

You realize he is supercharged... he could have beaten it.
Ok I didnt know that there were only 80 L88s made; I had seen one before in my gyms parking lot and the one i raced looked just like it (minus the hood and nice paint) but I guess it wasnt one. Oh and by the way bluevette, ive had my car for a month (bought it bone stock) -once i really get to modding it, well see just how many corvettes I can beat.

yea, and well see how many mustangs i can beat after i strap my rocket engine to my hatch.
And a true L88 vette would have still taken an S281 SC.
