A friend of mine used to have a wrx with a bov and thought he was the sh*t.. one day i was on the highway goin to work and here he comes im doing like 70-75 he just blows by me and doesnt slow down to race.. there was no catching him.. so all he does is brag about how he owns my doors..but he would never line them up after that.. he lives in pittsburgh now and is coming home 2 night with his new sti its all stock and now he wants to race.. can i take him with my modds.. he is a good driver too.. I ran a sti once vs my stang with out the gears..and i pulled on him by like a car length..but he didnt launch hard, my friend will for sure he always had a wrx and knows how to handle them.. can i beat it.. or is the wrx sti to much for me with a good driver?

He is probably going to get you. He will defenitely come off the line better than you and I don't think you have quite enough to run him back down. From a roll it would be much more even and you might even pull a little bit.

 

A raced an sti, he didnt launch on me though. I pulled him pretty good. If you can drive you got a chance, but hes gonna out launch you. Race him from a roll lol.

 

ok from a roll is my chances that good say from like 30 mph so i will be in 2nd and almost into my powerband..3rd feels real stong too with the 3:73's dont want to listen to him say for another year he blew my doors off.. so i need good and honest opinions

 

He has the Ricer attitude. BOV doesn't mean anything. It's for show. Flying past you and not wanting to line up then bragging about it means he can't put his money where his mouth is. Not trying to talk bad about your friend but he's not much of a friend IMO if he's acting that way.

A non-STi you would win they are dogs at top end. Never raced an STi but you've got a shot wth your mods. Just don't give up too easily as he will pull away until around 70 or 80mph.

 

he isnt that good a friend.. girlfriends friends b/f..thats about it..but he bragged alot with the blow by and now he has the sti he wants to race them so ur not offending me...im not the best driver in the world but i ran some good races with cars that should have blown me away imo but u know how it goes cant lose cause my girl is naggy she will be like haha his car is faster then urs.. ahhhhhhhhhhh

 

itll be close for sure man but youll have to drive your *** off for any chance of beating him ...like they said though your best chance is from a roll, from a dig itll def be hard
