went to a track
Well finally got my car to a track it sucks but its something... our track just gives a time and u have to guess your own trap.... first run was 14.2 at about 100 then a 14.5 at 98 and then the timer went down.... got a couple nice kills... 5.0 mustang, 2002 gt that sounded like it was running on 6 cylinders, a 2001 accord that was spraying, and a 1st gen supra that sounded meaner than hell... lost to a cammed lt1 camaro and a dodge ram srt10... all in all fun night... gotta work on my second to third shift...
nope no 60' either just a full 1/4 mile et... and it is pretty cheap 7 bucks for racers, and 4 for spectators... its just el paso's war on street racers.... It's set up at an airport.... times do seem to be pretty accurate tho....
oh..ok..i have heard about the temporary tracks. i think that its pretty cool. do they do any track prep? how was your traction? if you were getting 100mph, you should be able to get into the 13s..
Spun through most if not all of first on all runs... they dont prep the track gotta bring ure own stuff...and this isnt really a temp track but its the only one in el paso thats always open... we have an alright track but its always closed
well they use nhra certified timers but they use an old scoreboard as displays and they dont have the printers or comps for the slips.... there was a red and white mustang out there that was supercharged to hell heard rumors of it running 10.7's at last funford weekend event... there was also the dark green 99+ gt from texas hotrods out there
Those are good times for your car. You need to get some DR's and 13's should be no problem
Do the PI swap for sure though.....try for 13's before you do it. It would be nice to see a 96-98 gt hit 13's with basic bolt-ons....alot of guys on here don't think these cars can do it[&:]
