Infamous STi vs Cobra on
lol</P>
i dont know the cobra driver (never seen them on the track before) so i cant attest for his/her skills maybe was slow on the shift? All I know were the track times and trust me, my friends and i are waiting for better weather to show mr STi what a 302 can do.</P>

haha, to run a new cobra in the 14's, you are not even a beginner yet. And why did you just contradict yourself?? lol... Its either a traction issue,or a bad driver. Its not considered a traction issue if the driver is roasting them on the green light because he isn't "a professional" moron!<IMG src=smileys/smiley10.gif border="0"></P>

Okay, a traction issue because of a dumba$$ trying to race something with power....Thats a driver issue, not traction issue..That has nothing to do with the track prep, temp, ect...We get it, no need to continue with excuses..<IMG src=smileys/smiley6.gif border="0"></P><edited><editID>redneck101</editID><editDate>37995.5240856481</editDate></edited>

the 03' cobra (which i learned later was bone stock) pulled a 14:10.</p>
it was clear that traction was the winner that day.</p>
After the race i spoke to the STi driver (despite my unlove for rice) and it turns out that this is the second STi he has owned having finally gotten rid of his previose after replacing his tranny twice! It appears the tranny is a known flaw and is the weakest link in the car. I asked if he knew this why he bought another one...he smirked and replied "To smoke all the mustang owners!" I laughed and told him "Racing a subaru is a lot like running in the special olympics, sure you may win, but you're still retarded!" he was not amused.</p>

STi six speeds aren't the weakest link. a lot of power is sucked up through the mechanical HelicalLSD. </P>
He's thinking of the regular WRX 5 speeds...those things are like glass. Subaru has replaced many a WRX 5 sp tranny under warrenty.</P>
