Default Job Complete

Well, for those of you who remember me talking about swaping the engine in my friend's 240sx....

The job is complete. The engine is in and running. We finished it at about 12:30-1:00 yesterday.

The car is crazy. I still pull it in the Mach, but we are going to turn the boost up from 14psi to 20psi so he will be runing with me and maybe even out runing me.[&:]

But there are still a few kinks to work out...the throttle positioning sensor is off a little so the car likes to stall if you put it in neutral when slowing down....you just have to downshift and then dont hold the Klutch untill about 1,000 rpm in first gear....but that is doable for now....

and we still have to buff the paint and finish building his custom box for his subs....but performance wise the car is done...

It will smoke 1st gear.....slide into 2nd....cherp 3rd with LITTLE effort....and cherp 4th just a little....

But he has very littel weight in his rear end which contributes to that....

But we raced several times just messin around yesterday and i can still pull him. From a dead stop to the top of 3rd i only had like 1 or 1 1/2 cars on him so he was right there....which is pretty god for a 93 240sx....

He has to have traction issues, don't take this the wrong way but he should be able to beat you even on 14psi he should be able to pull off high 12s with traction.

Thats what i thought at first...but the turbo on their is the smallest turbo that is made for that motor....and when you look at it...all it is is a turbo'd 2.0....it is only supposed to turn like 250hp even with the turbo.

Oh, I was thinking more like 300 to the wheels. In that case you should be able to beat him by a little bit even if he had perfect traction.

Nope.. stock turbo doesnt push as much air as a bigger one.

yeah, he is not a "ricer" by any means...and i dont consider his car to be rice either....not when it runs like that and actually has SERIOUS mods on it. But he is not a ricer....he likes my car just as much as his car...

and it is a 1993...

Taht is my favorite body style for that car actually

yeah, the s13's were the best looking 240's made, imo. glad you all got it running. and if youd learn how to actually drive, you might beat him by more than 1.5 car lengths

[8D] haha....

We raced again last night....he was in front of me and got the jump but we ran all the way into 4th gear and i was about 3 cars behind him b/c of traffic...

But as i ran it up in 4th gear i walked by him like was siting still as i was topping 130...

then i had to let off it...

but i would assume he was running prolly around 115 or so b/c he said that when i passed him he had already spiked his speedo which stops at 110...

and 1.5 car lengths isnt that bad considering my car weighs like 1500 lbs more than his and only like 80 hp more than what he is right now...
