Personally, I think the S2000 will win. You have an auto '98 GT. They ran like mid to high 14s, stock, I think. The S2000 is a high rpm car--the thing turns like nine grand and are solid for low 14s to high 13s. 240hp? Sub-3000lbs? Whereas the 98GT; 260hp(is it even that?)? Plus-3400lbs...

just finished racin!!! he spun pretty good off the line so i got a good jump on him. we raced to about 60 mph and at the end i had a car on him 
and he says i was pulling away slowly. he let me take is car for a spin afterwards and it's a pretty fun car to drive, it feels like a cockpit of a jet!!! i know my car isn't the quickest but it's always fun to win!!! thnk god the weather has been nice for the last week. the snow melted for probably the last weekend for fun driving!! thanks for all your input!!

The ***** on the car is often the dork driving it. Don't be a chicken. Go the track and settle it!!! The worst that can happen is that you lose. But if you lose----You won't die. But you are very likely to win. S2000s are fast, but not that fast, they have no low end torque. So practice a ngood launch. If its a street race, insist is is from a standing start, which gives you the advantage. Its a good, close race, but if you prepare and set up everything, you should win.
I bet five grand the other night on a race(see street/strip section: " Three Way with a New Z06"_. i won this one, but I have l have lost and had to pay::: you live through it. You're only a ***** if you don't rise to the challenge.

What I do know is that S2000s have been known to hit 13s. Don't know how frequent this occurance is, but it's happened. once or twice. lol
anyway, I agree with WRX... finally someone who follows up.
