dont want this to sound like a flame but i was riding on the highway and saw a lightning that sounded awesome...the guy had racing guages so i figured he would run...my girl saw the truck and was like "damn that is nice" and i told her yea that lil truck right there can beat me...she didnt believe me so i ran him from about a 60mph roll...i walked him to about 10 car lengths till i hit 120...ill show my mod list, but this surprised me but then again i know almost nothing about the lightnings

but seriously, if i am not mistaken, the later model lightnings were blown, and pretty quick...however, at high speed, the aerodynamics of your car would give you some advantage over his truck. from a stop, he would have probably have crushed you, especially if he had any work done...

 

im just saying that if someone goes out of thier way to get guages, and could easily tell the exhaust was done. i was hoping he would crush me, i pick the races i lose mostly because i like to see faster cars run, but i just havent been able to find any since i bought this gt.

2. they most likely have spent money on other parts of the car

that is true, for the most part, but in my DD, i have gauges but i never got the supercharger that i was planning on, and im too lazy to remove the gauges..lol plus, the new OEM piller cover is expensive for what it is...

but anyway, have you had your car to a track, or any idea what it runs?

 

I ran alongside a blwon SVT Ligthning from nearly the top of first gear up to over 100, in my Porsche 996. It does 13.48 @ 105 and it was side by side like we were chained together until past 100, where aerodynamics gave my car a real advantage and it edged ahead. I thought they did in the mid 13s which certianly seemed right given niehter one was quicker.

 

no i havent had it to the track...i live in so. cal...any suggestions? i beat a guys srt-4 that said he ran a 13.8, so i would guess around there.

i also have a 64.5 with 347 stroker, 9 inch rear 4.11's, really need to get that one to the track...
