But remember red...I'm trying to build an autocrosser...not a drag racer. Hence no N2O or F/I...they would be useless in autocross...

You have an AUTO right? My friend and I were debating on whether an auto will accelorate better/faster off the line when it's in first and then you shift through 2nd and then up to drive, or do you just waste people in drive?

Ok I just re read your question. I got my tranny set at higher shift points, and higher shift pressure. I can launch it better shifting manually, but the rev limit (6250RPM) comnes up quick in first. So when I do shift manually, I gotta be on guard. BUT!!! It's not good for the tranny to manually shift it. So I don't do it very often.

subframes make a world of difference. i'm like you, i'm sticking to the stock wheels. hell, stock everything on the body. i like people to look at my car and think it's stock. people think if you don't modify the exterior, there's no way you mod the engine.

NOPE! I'm stickin with the factory wheels. I like them just fine. I will be getting some Nitto or Khumo tires tho.
Next mod will be sub-frame connectors and a BIG rear sway bar!

yea, i do the same thing. i dont have a modded exterior other than minor stuff like window tint and a mach 1 chin spoiler and the drop. so all the ricers come up on me and try to run me and stuff and i will just sit there and mess with them... downshift into 4th at around 40 and nail it (acting slow) while being side by side with them... then i will just downshift again to 3rd and leave em.. haha. for some reason people think its just a GT with exhuast when its sitting there whistling... i dont get some people..... then ive had people tell me when i was like at advanced or somethin tell me my car looks like a sleeper because it doesnt have a body kit or rims. i dont think it looks like a sleeper.

I know this is sneaky, but what you GT guys ought to do is, get some V6 3.8 badges and replace the GT's with them. Then when someone wants to race you, SURPRISE!!!!!

thats exactly what i was thinking. but i am shaving my badges to try and give it a lil bit cleaner look on the exterior
