this girl got an Altima SE-R and I was wondering if you think its a fast car consider it has 260 hp yes but idk how heavy it is, think it could take a stang stock for stock

They run mid to high 14's they are quick cars. They have a detuned 350z motor.i dun think they pull high in mph in the 1/4

 

Yeah, they are nice cars and have one hell of a 3.5 liter V6, but they are front drive, and can't launch very aggresively. They do about 5.7 seconds to 60 and the quarter in the low 14s. I can't recall ever seeing one that has been modified with antyhing more than a cannon muffler. They could take an older 'stang but not a new 300 Gt or even the 260 HP previous gen GT.

 

yes, theyre VERY quick, but, like Lee said, i seriously doubt they could take even a '99-'04 GT, much less an '05. theyre sexy, yes. theyre quick, yes. and yes, i like Nissan. but, the weight is what kills 'em. what kinda 'Stang you got phantom ?

 

from what I've heard a stock SE-R altima is not much quicker than a plain jane v6 Altima.

 

idk.......they sure as hell FEEL quicker........and the seat of my pants usually dont lie.........USUALLY.

 

If you think an Altima SER is quick, your car is slow.

 

ive not seen one at the track...and even with the horsepower that it has, it has to be a fairly heavy vehicle...and arent they auto-only?

naw I just didnt know how much it was in weight cuz my friend got an alfa romeo that is a sedan that weighs the same as my stang so I know sedans arent always heavier, and the SER has 260 hp so I wasnt sure, I havent seen or rid in the car yet and its auto with triptronic, I have a 96 GT but no worries im doing engine work 1st, itll be faster than the 99-04 :-p
