Default Race question/eclipse vs 06 v6

Ok well a guy at work has a 97 gss turbo 4 cyl. eclipse, and I have an 06 v6 mustang, all stock since i just got it, anyway, he thinks he can smoke me, do i have any chance, or can i win, what do u guys think?? ... im planning on getting a paxton after i finish with the interior, but he just insists on racing me now... what should i do???

depends on his mods. If he is stock w/ stock boost then you should walk him from a dig. If he is modded and turned up the boost than it may be a completely different story.
Before anyone else can say it, Go race him and report back. That is the only way to find out for sure.

my friend has one of them eclipses and he turned up the boost, plus his driver side door doesn't open!

Stock for stock you guys should be about even from a stop with a slight advantage going to you. If he is modded you are going to lose.

Mitsu never made a gss eclipse.. they made a GS-T and a GSX - the only differance between them is that the GSX is AWD and a lil heavier, which in that case if you're stock he would probably take you. When I had my 05 V6 I got beat by a buddies GSX, but I beat him when all I did to my car was a Steeda CAI and my Xcal2, never got to race a GS-T though. A lil food for thought.

Stock GSX's have no problem running high 14's... will a 06 V6 break high 14's? I know that they are good for low 14's..
