Default Charger R/T?

So I ran into a charger r/t yesterday on the highway. He clearly was checking my car out. I didn't really notice him since he was just merging into my lane. Well, he never got into my lane since traffic was all jammed up, so I hopped in behind him. We both messed around a little, but nothing close to the speed limit. It was just a few tags of the gas and NO room to run eachother. How do these things stack up? I really wanted to see how my STi would compare since there's a mix of people who do and don't like them. To me, it seems like they aren't fast at all, but I have no clue.

Isn't that the new charger that's pushin 425hp? Not too sure about all the charger models, but the new chargers and even the wagon is pretty darn quick.

if it was the SRT8 model (which is probably wasnt) it only had 345hp...and they only come in automatics...they are 14 second cars...the SRT8 models are getting into the 12s...

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it wasn't an SRT model since there were no SRT badging. Are there any other ways to tell if it's an SRT?? What times do they run in the 12s?

I saw a chyrsler 300 SRT (same thing, 425 HP) do 12.7 stock. Beat a Mistsi EV0 by about six lengths. Got behind at the start and was even by the 8th. Thing really can pull up top.

i have seen articles about the srt8 300c's running in the 12s, but typically their "stock" includes minor mods like an intake, exhaust, some minor weight reduction, etc...at the last mopar event, there was a guy running a 425hp srt8 magnum, running fully stock, ie, nothing added, nothing removed, and he was running 13.70s, but they have more drivetrain loss due to the AWD

the srt8 charger also has a hood scoop...and some fascia differences...here are some pictures

they look alright for a car that size, a little too big for that kind a power, IMO. MUCH better results in a smaller car.

yeah..thats why i dont care for them...if i was in the market for a new car, the charger would be toward the bottom of my short list, and if i did want a big performance car, the 300C would be way above it.

I was just on the Dodge site yesterday looking at the chargers out of curiousity. The 2006 SRT8 has over 400hp, on a four door car I think thats pretty cool, but I just don't like Dodge.
