I will say a good driver in the mustang and someone that doesn't know that they have to launch at 5000+ in the STI or EVO. And you'll have them, if your on the street it'll make it easier. Just race them a little farther than a 1/4 that'll give you time to catch up or increase your lead, but seing that you have 410's that won't be as easy if you had 355's or lower gears. If he can drive and you have 410's, and you want to know what it would take, fastest and simplest. Nitrous+what you already have.

I didn't even read that quote. But I agree^^^ On the street the AWD car will KILL off the launch. It's all about the traction with the mustang and it's only hope is a prepped track. As far as the EVO being fast I agree. EVOs are MUCH more......MUCH more......mod friendly. It must take twice the $$$ to get an STi to go that fast.
Tommy- That is my stock 60'. I can't wait to see now with my mods and new suspension set up. I've got stiffer springs and adjustable shocks. Hope they will help out. On the stocker, I actually had to let off the gas due to a clunk.....to find out it was crappy struts. The stock ones tend to stick from time to time. Stupid things.....so I got better ones(KYB).

I second the shifting a ton in the STI. Especially with this turbo, I'm shifting almost constantly. I'm hoping the custom tune I have set up on Jan 7 will give me a little better power band ... right now I'm seeing peak boost at like 5k rpms [:'(]

Haha JK, i really did smoke one thuogh, he ran 14.6 clearly didnt know how to launch/shift. But I think they only trap around 101ish stock, so most of it is coming from the launch.

Haha JK, i really did smoke one thuogh, he ran 14.6 clearly didnt know how to launch/shift. But I think they only trap around 101ish stock, so most of it is coming from the launch.

I didnt think you were talking about the SC s281... I thought you said stock with the mods listed above.. if you have a s281 SC, as long as you didnt spin out to bad you should have no problem beating a STi..

Nope, I actually got a good look into the car and everything. It was an STI, first time he ever been to the track and had the car for a couple weeks.
probably a WRX with STi stickers. those little bastards move out in a hurry, fast short times
