I just got back from the track today, and i was suprised by the times some of the camaros and trans ams were running they had a couple of lt1 camaros and trans ams running mid to high 14s and two ls1 trans ams one was running a 14.1 and the other was running a 13.2 with a cam, exhuast, and intake, they had a few 5.0 running 15.2s and high 14s and they two 99-04 GTs running 14.3-14.1 with intake, exhaust, and shifter, two of my friends also ran, one had a Integra Type-R which ran a 15.3, had alot of tire spin, and my friends Crx he had B18 engine swap, Jackson Racing supercharger with 8psi, K&N intake, exhuast, 3in drop and he was running in the 15s tires were spinning 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, these times kind of suprised me, i was expecting the trans ams and camaros and my two friends cars to run lower times but i dont know if the driver just sucked or the conditions were that terrible

sounds like track conditions if everyone out there was running that high.

Could be multiple things... Conditions would be the biggy but they could have a quick timer.. Those are all lower then what I would expect...

I've run a coupla 14-second passes (@ 102-104) with my Camaro with a badly botched launch, when I first started racing. Of course that's not typical.

I think that all sounds about right within 2-3 10th's. I ran 14.0's with tb/plenum/CAI/and gears. The low 14's for the LS1/auto/stock and regular driver is right, maybe 2/3 tenths slower than he could be.

No way, those LS1 times are way off. If you can break a 13.8 with a Ellis, they should just buy a huffy and give the car to someone who can drive, unless the track sucked & the air was horrid

I will go ahead and correct dan's correction here[8D]

"if you can not break a 13.8 in an Ellis, then you should give your car away and buy a Yugo, that is unless the track sucked badly and the air was made of dirt"
