Default Raced an Evo

It was one of those new evo's, an 8 i think. It had real nice BBS rims that were an anthracite color, and the car was silver...looked real sharp. I don't know much about what's inside, but i'll be looking it up shortly.

Anyways, He was late on the reaction off the light (street light...yes i know street racing is bad) but my tires spun a bit, so by the time wwe actually started moving forward, we were even. I have an auto and I turned off the o/d, and i could hear him shift and we shifted at pretty much the same exact time all the way through 3rd. after second he started to pull a tiny bit, then after third his tail light was right next to where my head is, then we lifted (didn't want to go toooo fast now...)

Pretty good race if you ask me... although I bet that if i had the mods that are waiting to be installed I would have had him.

well, instead of 3.73 gears, you should really look into 4.10s. you have 3.55 stock, so you're not going to notice that much of a difference going with the 3.73. good race though.

good run, im surprised he pulled you actually. If the evos dont get the jump off the line, its harder for them to pull ahead. if you had the gears, it would have been a diff story im sure.

Always fun to play though.

Nice death, add those 3.73's and driveshaft, and maybe you'll get him nexttime. No need to start a new thread, but I was messin with an Evo on the interstate a few months back and from like 75 to 110 I was right with him the whole time, probably could of past him but my exit was coming. I thought those things could pull up top. Guess not.

no no, i have an auto. Those come with 3.23's. 4.10's would be nice, but i do drive on the highway sometimes for hours and hours. plus i got the 373 for 75 dollars.

ill be getting long tubes before the month is out, and that will definitly help.

Those LT's will help to an extent. Do they even make o/r midpipes for the 05's and 06's?

Than I would go ahead and get the o/r pipe along with the headers, just to get the full exhaust done.

You have 3.31s stock. I picked up .2 tenths in the 1/4 going from the stock 3.31s to the 3.73s.
