the turbo'd cars were mid 14's stock, shouldn't be any trouble for a 99+ GT

I like how you use the words "mildly modified" and "spent $10k on it" in the same sentence.

well if u take into account how much parts are for those cars thats very mild... turbo kits range from 4-8k an aem ems is about 2k and all the little odds and ends adds up u know... and thats nothing really... for what some pay for a used gt she got her car into the 11's or 10's with a better driver...

Edit: this was on stock internals....

What do the mid 90's MR2's run in 1/4? [&:]
14.7 from the factory

Ya they dont got too much power but theyre light as hell.
I wouldn't call 2850-2950 lbs "light as hell" in a 2-seater.

Although there are turbo kits out there that are that expensive, mine was just about $2000.

My 11.1 was done on a 200,000 mile original stock engine (cams were dropped in).
The car went 11.7 with a 100% stock original 200K engine though.

My car weighs about 2840 lbs with me in it. I'm about 170 lbs.
That is far from a typical MR2. I have done a LOT of weight reduction.

I sounded like the turbo put out max boost and still didnt have enough.
Thats not something you can tell by sound. My turbo sounds the same at 10psi, as it does at 21psi
