Just kind of curious what my car can keep up with right now. From a 2nd gear roll, would I beat a stock EVO?? My mods are a cai, maf, udp, catted h-pipe, and flowmasters. I consider myself a fairly decent driver. With my mods upcoming (4:10's, 75mm TB and plenum, bbk long tubes, o/r h-pipe, and vt stage 1 cams) would I destroy him??

 

No. As long as you're not spraying, he should still walk you up until those insane speeds of 100+.

The gears will help you a lot from a roll.

it's better to lose from a dig than win from a roll. I think any real racer knows that.

 

I think he would beat you either way now, but once you get those mods in (), I think you should race from a dig and beat him. I just hate racing from a roll. Only time I do this is if I'm cruising along and I got some idiot messing with me so I just punch it up till about 20mph more than what I was doing and then slow back down and cruise.

It should be a decent run. EVOs are not that strong up top. I hung dead even with a stock one from a 60 to 100 roll and this is when I had intake, axle back, and out of the box tune. I was running 13.7s and 101ish. Evos are strong out of the hole but they fall off a little up top. He will probably still get you but it won't be as bad as everyone is telling you.

 

Dude if he was a full bolt on the EVO would still prolly take him he would have to drive his *** off and have DRs or somethin i dont see a regular bolt on GT without some sort of FI taking an EVO....but who knows
