Default Roasted an eclipse on the highway:

Almost forgot about this. On my way to the dyno today some idiot in the previous gen eclipse with a giant metal spoiler (almost as high as the roofline of his car) decides he wants a piece of me on the highway (its a 70mph zone for 40 straight miles). Anyways, I see him weeving through a little bit of traffic behind me, so I drop it into 3rd and slow down to about 60... he catches up, and he is in the left lane. Were both slowed to about 60 for a few seconds till he punches it (no horn or nothing), so I hammer it.. I slowed down at 120 with what looked like a football field between us. Lmao, I doubt it was turbo'd.. just a fart can and the spoiler.. no badges anywhere on the car at all, no stickers.. and hopefully no dignity left

mmmmmmmmmmm... fried rice, my favorite type. Way to knock him down a peg. His fortune cookies should say "no, you can't outrun V-8s!"

fyi: I know Mitsu's are Japanese and fortune cookies are in Chinese food. I just wanted to get that quote out there.

First of all, good kill.
Secondly, I have the utmost respect for ls1's, but GOAT, my advice is to not be so cocky, there are many REAL dsm's that will put up a good fight, if not beat a lot of v8's, not trying to be a dick, or start any ****, just trying to share my experiences, and hopefully save u some CASH one day
PS: Every REAL eclipse, talon, or laser was built in Normal Illinois.

I know man, there plenty of fast 4 bangers, but the majority aren't. I give the Talons, Eclipses and Lasers with AWD respect, I know they can be built up fast as hell and I run for fun not $$. I wasn't trying to start anything I was joking around. If it matters an LS2 resides in Alison (my GTO)

Alright that's cool, I just couldn't tell if you were joking around or didn't have any experiences with some that were built right. By the way, AWD owns from a dig, but just as you would expect, as soon as I upgraded from FWD, the only cars that wanted to race me were on the highway, and when i drove my FWD that was SICK on the highway, everyone wanted to race from a stop, but I guess that's how the world works LOL.[:@]

LOL..and you thought we didn't know how to work things more to our advantage Yeah man, seriously I was just messing around, I've had some import cars myself, Honda, Mazda and 2 Toyotas...and actually my GTO/Holden would qualify too.

Yea the car is from australia right? I've been wanting to run a GTO, but it seems like all of them around here are the tough guys that race from 0-40 (when u don't know ur racing), or whatever the speed limit (same as the audi s4's and dodge magnums), in my opinion everyone should have a 0-10 rating, not depending on their money, but driving experience, which would limit the uneducated ricers to 90 hp and making them learn that: v8's are one of the best platforms, v10's are rare, and that turbo 12 cyl own. a dsm is one of the few 4 cyl that will mod side-by-side with most v8's, making them gradually realize WTF the real racing world is like). No disrespect to properly tuned hondas (sleeperstyle) but it is not often that I see a honda driver that knows what makes his/her car fast other than the $ they put into it.
Much respect to you for keeping up and beating a lot of v8's, especially with FWD, i know how hard it is to launch one.

And goat, I was just trying to make sure you weren't one of those idiots that are like v8's rock and everything else is a kernel of corn off my ****, but right now you are cool in my book.
Peace,
Dan
P.S. WHODEY mother****ers! (GO STEELERS GO! at least until you play carolina in the super bowl) That's my other team BTW.
