this little sleeper had a turbo!! it looked like a plain civic going down the highway, and then i noticed the 757 civic club sticker. (a local car club) having never met or encountered one of these guys, i pulled up next to him to get a better look. he quickly downshifts. i see all the gauges, and figure since he has no rice on the outside, these gauges must be for real. so even though i've been having throttle sticking problems, i figure he's worthy and i downshift too. sure enough he's right there with me for a few seconds, and my throttle problem keeps me from hitting 4th. rolled down our windows, exchanged thumbs up, and went again with the windows down. i only went to 4th, (from about 60-65) he got the jump, but i reeled him in and passed him. that turbo was whistling loud. i'm suprised i pulled him like i did. i've been *** raped by turbo civics around here before, alot of them have really killer setups. from what iv'e gathered on a local forum, he's only got a stock SOHC. so i got lucky and beat this guy, and i know alot of you flame me for racing civics. well there isnt much more to race around here. i hardly ever encounter another mustang, and i've never raced a camaro. and so many of these guys are sleepers, you never know what your gonna race next. (as far as motor setup)

You shouldn't be surprised, even with a turbo they are still dogs. Afterall you can't polish a turd.

 

good kill. hate to say, but i have seen some sweet times come from turbo civics

 

My buddy has a turbo civic EX with nitrous and I still wax the pavement with him, its an auto as well, but the good thing is that aside from rims, he doesnt have a lot of stupid ricer stuff.
