TOMMOROW
I should be running a 350z, a '95 cobra, an '05 1.8T GTI, a talon tsi (awd), and quite possibly a z28.
here's what i think will happen with each one:
350z--We'll both launch hard and he'll pull on me at high rpms...LOSS
'95 Cobra--It'll be a contest of driver skill...and he just started driving stick
'05 GTI--I'll get a better launch and it'll be smooth-sailin from there on out
Talon tsi--He'll RIP ME out of the hull but a wombat will jump in front of him causing him to slam on the brakes
z28--he'll beat me convincingly and i'll look stupid for talking so much crap on fbodies

All I can say is good luck. And I think you can take the GTI and maybe the 350Z, depending on what he has done. And maybe the Talon depending on what shape its in and what you have done. Say bye bye to the Z28. Have fun though. The Cobra would be a good race if both drivers were equal.
LOL, I like your predictions, especially for the talon (of course im biased though), but I think your giving the 350z too much credit. But then again, with the info u gave i *have* to assume that all are only mildly modded bolt-on cars. If u want some good feedback, tell us everything u know about these cars, and especially ur own car.
BTW, my top picks (assuming basic bolt ons):
#1 split- Talon and z28, the chevy with the edge of very good top speed, even though the underrated talon will go 150 mph with AWD.
#2-I would've counted the cobra in #1, but u said poor driver(if he's smart one of his experienced friends will drive though).
#3-Do NOT underestimate those VW's, the turbo's will mod side-by-side with the talon, with the loss of AWD though.
#4-The 350z and Infiniti G30(stock) barely beat my AWD talon on the HIGHWAY on only 8 lbs. of boost when i first got it(FYI; I safely run 16 PSI and it's a COMPLETELY different car on that boost level/REMATCH PLEASE
)
Well these are my picks but they really don't mean **** without knowing the mods and how good the drivers are.

Copperhead - what kinda car and what do you have done to it??
The Talon and the Z28 are the fastest out of that bunch as long as the Talon is kept in good shape (those things can be damn fast) haha... +1 on the GTI.. dont underestimate that thing...you might lose to all the cars... remember that GTI is around 2900lbs and 180hp... and it's boosted hp, if he can drive and launches on you - you might be in trouble... (im assuming you have a hatch 5.0 by your sn)
