"93 mustang 5.0 lx w/5speed and msd, exhaust, cam, heads, lifters, nitrous, cold air, and upper and lower intake."

and a stock integra "type r" hung with you??? if have to throw the BS flag on your mods (even if you didn't spray) so that I can sleep tonight

s2000 you should spend more time working on making your car fast and less time arguing (or as you would say "spreading knowledge") about how they are faster than people think as if we've never been in an integra/civic/etc before

I was thinking the same thing, total shock, but afterwards he says the car is losing compresion. So how can you be sooo disappointed that your car beats anything when you are having problems that severe. I've been in an Acura and it was fast compared to a Civic, but badass topend? Going to have to say not quite.

What Acura were you in? A GSR? Of course, a GSR's power band is mostly midrange to high end, but the ITR is all top end power.

What kinda top-end we talking about? MPH? As in the car pulls solidly past 100 and keeps pulling with badass topend?
Or your power-band is 500 rpm short of your redline badass topend? This whole whiney bitch argument could be a misunderstanding of those two ideas. MPH or RPM topend? That's the question. Most Hondas do have badass pulls in the upper spectrum of their rev range. You gotta get 'em to spin to move...

You know, I didn't think about that. I was refering to the pull of the engine in the higher rpm towards the 8400 rpm redline.

About a week ago a few of my buddies and I were all in seperate cars and on our way to my house and we were on I-10. the funny thing was they are all ricers and they hate mustangs except for some reason they love my mustangs because I take really good care of them and they have custom paint and so-on. well my buddy just got his integra type "r" a week before and was racing everything under the sun. Keep in my the car I always drive is a 93 mustang 5.0 lx w/5speed and msd, exhaust, cam, heads, lifters, nitrous, cold air, and upper and lower intake. the car does alright, but needless to say I was never impressed with it because my other car is n/a 600hp stroker so of course my daily driver is gonna feel like a metro. Well anyways my friend with the type r idolizes my 93 and thinks its Gods' gift to the automobile world (it is a very beautiful car , like show quality...but thats about it). so he pulls up next to me and challenges my car and we are already doing fourty so I think to myself that I am gonna walk him and give him a reason to love my daily driver. so we go and I am not losing him at all and finally I start to pass him but when I pass him I am only just creeping ahead and then he lets off the gas. When we get to my house he has this look on his face like somebody just shot his dog.... I mean most ricers would be rubbing it in your face that they almost took you, but he was heart broken that my car almost got beat . And I was sick to my stomache needless to say i got my extra 408 stroker block out of the shop and prepairing to fuel inject it and slap in that beautiful but slow *** lx, because the way that it performed totally pissed me off. I couldnt even freakin sleep.

the end
umm, a heads/cam/intake/boltons 5spd LX (or any fox) would walk the **** outta a stock type r. And w/ nitrous???

Bs?

First of all, for all you Mustang guys, it's Vtec, not Vtech! Vtech is like a phone making company or something.
Secondly, 2000si wasn't comparing the type-r to other cars when he said it has a badass topend, he was just stating the fact that the type-r is made for its top end. Why is everyone arguing about what 2000si meant anyways? Who cares.
Also, if you are having compression problems, then that is probably why you lost. And do you know that the type-r is stock?
