hey guys well i guess i decided to get everything out of my old stock clutch until i get the new spec stage 2 installed. So anyways i went out for a ride on the highway and i found exactly what i was looking for ...an LS1.....hehe anyway it was like an 02 trans am ws6...it definitely had exhaust and it was lowered thats all i could figure out. Anyway we got to this light and i talked him into running me just so i can see where im at with them. Well needless to say i had no traction my first two gears on my bald street tires. However, by the end of second i started pulling very hard....my heart was beating like crazy...i was in a shock....i mean yea im blown but still ive never even came close to beatin an ls1 before...ive beaten lt1s before but thats all....anyway but about 120 i was at the end of my fourth and i pulled good two cars on him.

You have 100 more hp than a stock LS1...how are you having problems?

 

No kidding. With those numbers, you should NEVER have a problem with a stock LS1. NEVER. Unless you've just been getting completey unlucky and racing monster LS1s everytime...

Nice kill! I'm jealous of your whp / torque numbers. Those are what I was looking for on pump gas, but my damn fuel system maxed out. Of course, it's not quite the same since mine are at all 4 wheels.

Oh well, I'll be back on the dyno in the summer with a bigger fuel delivery setup and should hopefully hit closer to 500 whp on pump =p

 

well i realize that i have more power but since i just got it installed about a couple weeks ago im still getting used to the power...also them old street tires didnt help any either...i still wanna run at the track with my slicks to see what i get...but yea...anyway what do u guys think about the 04 Z06? would i have a chance? i mean im pushing a little more power than them but they are lighter arent they? well let me know what yall think cause this punk in his daddys 04 Z06 is talking lots of **** hehe....

 

GM High Tech Performance got a stock 03 ZO6 to run an 11.98. I would say the average owner/driver will run low to mid 12's if you can drive and your car is set up right there is no reason you should not mid to high 11's

 

Yeah, if you drive right, you shouldn't have any trouble with stock '01-'04 Z06s. But be careful, they can get mean real easy. A '06 Z06 with a decent driver would eat you alive, though. Bone stock with zero miles on 'em, they put down 435whp...

If your car is set up well with that kind of power then I can see you running mid 11's, same as a stock LS7 Vette. You never know until you try.
