Stock Vs Stock a SRT-4 is quicker than any GT up until 2005 and depends on the driver too. In the Cobalt it depends on the year/driver. It's no different than any Mustang driver either. Why dose everybody who owns these cars (Colbalt/SRT-4) think that there the fastest car on the road? WHY!
This angers me inside deeply, because I have to just like any other self respecting Mustang owner have to risk there own well being time and time again sowing them there not s@#t. When they get smoked,they just wanna make some sorry *** excuse on why they just got beat by 3, 4, or even as many 5 car lentghs. I beleive ill have to check myshelve into a ward of some short if this continues........ I mean there nice cars, and there so young, but it hurts me to hurt there feelings and detroy what little pride they had. I just need some word of advice to heal my wounds, I guess this is my confession of how bad I really feel to do this to Human beings. God created us all equal.......................but not cars, and I feel it my duty to set this right , to bring the balance back. I even find my selve going out on my day off looking for these jerks ruining there lives. Is this wrong of me?

That's a lie....It's a total driver's face between the SRT-4's and the 99-04 GT's....with the advantage going to the GT from the stop and the SRT from the roll. I don't know how the Cobalt got mixed up in the group....Those Cobalts are mid 14 second cars and it would take one bad GT driver to loose to one. Most Cobalts trap around 97 compare to 100+ for the GT's....So you Cobalt fellas that don't know....the trap speed in an indication of which cars would win from a roll. 99-04 GT's will whip up on the Cobalt SS.

Nope, an SRT4 is definatly quicker if you're talking about the quarter mile. Heres why:
GT's advantage from a stop... with street tires its a bitch and very hard to take complete advantage of that. Yeah it will still be better than an SRT4's launch but still.
SRT4's advantage from a roll... how hard is it to screw that up? Stay on the gas?
Therefore the srt4 is always going to nail its advantage in pretty much every race.
Equal drivers, the srt4 wins everytime, i'd say by .2-.25.
Also, how many times have you been to the track? My guess is 0 if you think GT's trap 100+ stock. I've seen a TON of GT's run... most trap speeds have been from 96-98, i've seen like one 99. If its trap speed was 100+ everytime, most mustangs would run 13.9-14.0 stock. Which we KNOW thats not even close to being the truth.

ummmm well i know a gt wont trap 100 but why wont they run a 14 stock??? ive heard plenty of people hitting 13.9's stock in their gt. be it this also depends on driver and track conditions. -but that applies for every car. i used to have a 93 lt1 firebird auto and bested a 14.09 it has 15 more hp but an auto so u lose more to the wheels compared to my 5spd, it also had ****ter tires and weighs 100 lbs more than my mustang.....why does everyone think a gt is a mid 14 sec car????

Dude you don't know anything about me....So let's just leave that part alone. First of all there's plenty of people who's run 100+bone stock. I did it when i owned my GT and DAN04COBRA best friend ran something like a 13.8@101 in a bone stock GT....If you think i'm lieing ask Dan.
Evan smith did 13.71@102 so don't tell me it's not possible just because you kids haven't been able to do it....It's been done to many times already.

Although I know that 2V GT's have run 13's stock at over 100mph, I've never seen it. I've never seen anything close to it actually. I usually see them trap mid'ish 70's at our local 1/8th with near 10 second ET's. And yes, I've seen MANY of them run.

I agree with you Totally......Your everyday kid won't be able to get those kind of times....But your experienced drivers can achieve it fairly easy. I want to clear something up here. I'm not bashing on Cobalts or their owners but to me trying to compare a Cobalt to a 99+GT is about the same as trying to compare a 99+GT to a 98-02 LS1.....There is no comparison. GT's are clearly faster than Cobalts and LS1's are clearly faster than GT's. SRT-4 and GT's are a drivers race....Like i said before....I could take a 99+GT and beat a Cobalt SS while masturbating.

I dunno in my town there is a srt-4 GT WRX feud, and the mustang drivers usually are on top but i have respect for srt4 1. because i would loose to one 2. there cheap 3. they can keep up with 99-04 mustangs.
