Hey i need ur help which is fater or better

i have a 2004 V6 (3.9L) Mustang

my friend has a 2003 Pontiac Grand am GT

he beat me off the start,
what can i do to change this
i think i am goin to get a intake def., will it help enough?

will he beat me in the 1/4 mile

another friend of mine is very jealous of my stang even thou its a V6
He bought a Linclon mark VIII (V8)
i think he will he beat me, and he wants to race since he so jealous

brush up on the driving skills and you shouldnt have a problem with the grand am. I think the Mark VIII has a dohc 32 valve. There heavy but I dont know much more then that about them.

yeah thanx but the thing is they are all auto
so how do i brush up on that i mean it all about who steps on the gas 1st

As 4.6 said, better driving would take the Grand am GT. Those are about on par with 99-04 V6s, stock. Your car should be able to edge past it. As for the Mark VIII... i have no idea. It's not a race car, so it really shouldn't matter.

the mark should destroy you. the 4v will dominate u. my buddy has one and for the size of car its pretty quick...

You can start with numerous cheapy things, intake, plenum, tb, and work on getting headers, full exhaust, cams...

Gears???? Do sixers get as good of gains as GT's do with gear swaps??? What is their stock gearing?

Stock 3.27's. And yes,gears will help A LOT! I got the 4.10's and noticed a big diference.
