Default 06 GT vs. 3rd Gen Eclipse(heavy mods)

So I am driving home the other night on a wide open 4 lane highway when I see these bright eclipse headlights coming up on me fast. I tend to ignore most imports, as they are a waste of gas, and almost none of them where I live are even close to fast( A fart can and LEDs). But this eclipse was tricked out. almost fast and furious, but a little more tastefully done. He pulled up next to me at about 40mph and I heard his turbo winding up( def not stock) and we look at eachother and both hit it, I was in third, and he was building to full boost, we pulled to about 60, and he stayed with me, I was surprised. So traffic gets a little thick, and now I'm thinking this guy has to have some good **** done to his DSM to hang with me. SO we finally get to a light side by side, he revs ( his turbo and blowoff were so frickin loud) then I rev. I take her to about 2500, the light changes and I lay a little scratch, then I grip and Im gone, perfect shift to second, and at about 50 I look to see where he is expecting him to be somewhat close, only to see him in my rear view a good 4 cars back. So I just kept on goin at normal speed and he stayed really far behind me until we both got stopped at another light, but he wouldnt even look at me. Made my night.

The problem with most turbo cars, is that they're not put together right. He may have had traction problems. I have a friend with a '95 (I think) Mitsu Eclipse GST (FWD, Turbo) with a built race motor and large turbo. It is nasty. And he spins in third gear like nothing...

good kill. it was not a dsm if its a 3gen. dsm's are 90-99 eclipse/talon/galants and new evo VIII. besides that he should be really embarassed he couldn't beat you if it was a v6 with an aftermarket turbo. even stock internals he should make more horsepower than you (probaly much more)
