Ok my friend Dustin just got an Evo MR edition and hes talking mad sh**. He wants me to race him in my 93 LX 5.0. My car has bbk full exhaust with flow masters. The headers are bbk long tubes.I have a bbk 65mm TB and a 3.55 gear. Im planning own swapping in a 347 later I alredy have the stuff to do it with. I know i will own him with that. BUt i want every one elses opinion on how i would stack up now. I know he will rape me off the line because the cars all wheel drive and my car spins pretty bad. Do u think I could pull back on him though????

 

Depends on how long you intend the race to be..........1/8 mile? 1/4 mile? 1/2 mile? full mile?. Just make sure you have enough running room to catch up on him. If it really is an EVO, don't take it too lightly and don't assume that you have it in the bag............cuz as they say, assumption is the mother of all f**k-ups.

 

If it is an Evo MR edition then it will be blindingly quick. Those cars got some serious weight reduction done and a couple of other little twicks. Watch your butt, and dont assume you are gonna beat him with that 347 motor either. You better get some really nice suspension and slick set up so you can keep with him on the launch. You could race from a roll giving you the slight edge for at least a few seconds until the turbos spools up.

 

Go from a 25mph roll with both of you in 5th gear, you'll win.
