WEll...as most of you know i like to street race...

yes im dumb, stupid, crazy, and irresponsible for doing it...blah blah blah....


But anyways...

As i hang out with more and more of the racers from around here, i realized that prolly 70% of them are domestics. And prolly 60% of the domestics are Stangs...i was actually shocked...

I thought i was getting into the underbelly of the ricer world when actually, lots of the racers around here are domestic guys. And the guy here that everyone shoots for, the one guy everyone tries to beat is a guy named Nazir...he is Bosnian, and he drives a 98 Cobra w/ a S/c and 150 shot...And he is in love with my car wich i thought was kinda cool...

but anyways, i dont know how it is near you, but i was very suprised to see how many stangs, camaros, and T/A's there are at the races...

Wooty woot woo...Domestics have taken back the streets!!!

It was never really owned by the ricers. The Fast and Furious movies just made it look like it is. Why spend 46K on high 13 sec TT import (stock 3000GTs, 300ZXs, Supras, RX-7s) when you can buy a brand spanking Camaro, TA, or Mustang for 25K that'll run the same time. Then there are the high 14 sec Hondas and such for 20k.

 

Thats because your out of high school now. Fart canned civics arent cool anymore

 

It's not that the Imports are there. It's just they don't come out with the same group because they know most of the domestics that hang out at the races spots would own them. It's just simple logistics. Where I am it's like that. All the Domestics head out to the same spots and the ricers have their own. I'm not saying no imports hang with the domestics but those are the ones that are actually fast. It's frustrating here though. Cuz we'll find a sweet spot that isn't bothering anybody, smooth straight roads, and on the out-skirts of things so not to call attention and it'll be great for weeks. Then one or two import drivers tag along with someone and they go and tell all their little ricer buddies and then we get swamped and that's when the police find us because they all leave spinning tires (or at least trying to) and revving engines.

 

oh...well here things are a bit different...

everyone that wants to race on a friday or saturday nights heads to Williamson rd.

That is the big cruise spot (the only cruise spot)

And people will crusie all night, race (which is stupid cause cops are all over williamson), or park.

And the guys that i hang out with all park at the Auto Zone. ITs private property so the cops cant do anything, and the Auto Zone doesnt care.

But, where ever you park at is where you set up your races...and since the overwhelming majority of roanoke's street racers go to Williamson, it is very easy to find a race or two...

You set up your race and then you, the guy you are racing, and a few witnesses will LEAVE WILLIAMSON (if you are smart) and go to some secluded long road to race...then come back to williamson and do it all over again...

The fun part is when you get everyon in a line a crusie the strip together...

I will have to Video it one night...but this goes on every friday and saturday.


I jsut cant wait untill the summer starts again and people start heading over to fast freddy's. It is a HUGE "un-official" car show EVERY SATURDAY!!!! People get out there at about 4-5 and stay till aboput 9-10 then go to williamson...

Yah the other day I found out from a cop that up the street from me about 60-70 cars will meet up every friday night and race. most are imports so I cant wait to get my mustang and go up and their and race one day.

 

I rarly see and V8 camaros, T/a's and mustangs where I live, But I see quite a few V6 stangs and camaros

 

Around my house the 2 big cars that everyone shoots for are an 02 SS Camaro and an 02 Z28 Camaro, im not sure what the got done but they are loud as hell and absolutley killed my friends 94 Z28. T heres also a lot of nice Talons, and Evos

 

umm for 46k all of those cars will run a lot faster than a high 13.....none of those cost 46k stock.. and with 46k everything on that list can be as fast or faster than a camaro. not to sound ricey but those arent ricer imports.
